By train
There is no station in Jamberoo; the nearest is Kiama. From there it takes about 2 hours 10 minutes to the terminal, with one change at Wolli Creek — about $26–29 adult with Opal, including the $18.61 airport station access fee.
Two things worth knowing. From Sunday 15 November 2026, South Coast trains stop calling at Wolli Creek, so the airport needs a change at Sutherland or Hurstville as well — or a ride to Central and back. And the line is electrified only as far as Kiama: south of it a diesel service runs to Bomaderry, so trips from Gerringong, Berry and Bomaderry add a change at Kiama. For a 6am flight with checked bags — at the terminal by 4am — no South Coast train gets you there in time.
The road, and what sets the timing
Jamberoo sits inland in a valley behind Kiama, reached by the Jamberoo Road. It is a genuinely rural setting and several addresses are on properties rather than streets.
The Jamberoo Action Park and the pub are the landmarks. Rural addresses here are best given as a property name — the road numbering is sparse and unlit at night.
At about 105 km the run is about 95 minutes, going out through Kiama to the motorway.
