Eight years in private hire across Sydney and the South Coast. Owner of the business and operator of the car, with no daylight between the two. If there is a complaint it comes to me. If a flight slips ninety minutes, the call comes to me.
A fleet sends whoever is nearest. That is a reasonable way to run a marketplace and a poor way to run a Tuesday morning. The premium here is not the badge on the bonnet — it is that the route is remembered, the preferred terminal is remembered, and none of it has to be explained twice.

The corridor
The 4am run down the Princes.
There is nothing to click in this section. It is here because the drive is the product, and a page that only ever sells is a page that never tells you anything.
At four in the morning the car leaves silent and already warm. Twenty-two degrees inside, the roof shaded, the cabin lights down to amber. Whatever was playing on the last run is still queued. The bag goes in the boot and the door closes the way doors close on heavy cars — once, with weight.
General Holmes Drive is empty at that hour and the airport is a set of orange lights on the left. Through the Shire the highway is a series of long, sodium-lit curves, and at Waterfall the suburbs simply stop. The M1 Princes Motorway begins, the trees close in on both sides, and for twenty minutes there is nothing but the road and the National Park either side of it.
Then Mount Ousley. The descent opens without warning: the escarpment on the right, the steelworks stacks ahead, and the whole Illawarra laid out below with the ocean behind it, still black at that hour and starting to go grey at the edge. Passengers who have made this run twenty times still stop talking here. It is the best two minutes of the drive and it arrives without being asked for.
South of Wollongong the motorway gives way to the Princes Highway and the towns take over. Albion Park, then the Kiama bypass with the coast dropping away on the left. Gerringong, where the highway climbs and the paddocks run right to the cliff edge. The Berry bypass, which took the town out of the road and made the last half hour honest. Then Bomaderry, the bridge over the Shoalhaven, and Nowra.
Past Nowra the road narrows and quietens and the light changes. By the time the car turns off for Huskisson the sun is properly up over Jervis Bay and the water is the colour people write about. That is two and a half hours from the terminal. The fare for it was decided before the car left, and it is the same number now as it was then.
That is the whole business. Not an app, not a fleet, not a list of drivers waiting to be dispatched. One car, one person driving it, one number agreed in advance.

A worked example, not a testimonial. Every figure below is a published one, so you can check it against the fare table on this site and against the airline's own timetable.
A domestic flight leaves Sydney at 06:15. Working backwards: two hours before a domestic departure puts you at the terminal at 04:15. Nowra to the airport is 145 km and typically 2 hours 5 minutes. Add ten minutes to load. The pickup is 01:55.
The fare is $510, and it is $510 at 01:55 exactly as it would be at midday. No night loading exists to apply. A metered fare over the same distance at that hour, with tolls and the airport access fee added at the end, is not knowable until the meter stops — which is the entire difference.

Two people, Kiama, there and back in a day
A second worked example. A couple travel from Kiama to a Sydney CBD appointment and come home the same evening.
Kiama to Sydney CBD is $462 each way. The return rule is published and arithmetic, not a negotiation: one way doubled, then 10% off, rounded to the nearest $5. That is $830 for the pair of legs, with the same chauffeur driving both.
The alternative most people price against is two single fares, or a train each way plus a taxi at either end. What the fixed return actually buys is that the number is knowable at 8am, not at 9pm.

The questions that actually get asked.

$60.00 base, plus $3.30 per kilometre, plus the $1.32 NSW Passenger Service Levy. Tolls, GST and airport fees are already inside that number, not added to it.
Published corridor fares sit at or below what the formula produces — on the longer South Coast and Western NSW runs, noticeably below. The receipt shows both figures, so you can see the gap rather than take our word for it.
Fixed. It is agreed at booking and it is the number on the invoice. There is no meter in the car, so there is nothing that could produce a second number.
No surge, no night loading, no weekend rate, no public-holiday rate and no airport surcharge added at the end. A 4am pickup costs what a midday pickup costs.
The one-way fare doubled, then 10 percent off the doubled fare, rounded to the nearest $5. Wollongong at $341 each way is $615 return. The same chauffeur drives both legs.
The rule is arithmetic rather than a negotiation, which is why it can be published.
You still get a fixed number, immediately. The formula runs on the distance and the result is locked at booking exactly like a published fare.
There is no version of this where you are told the price will be confirmed later.
Three hours is the minimum the system will take. Twenty-four hours is comfortable, and for a pre-dawn airport run the day before is better still.
There is one car. The constraint is not administrative — it is that the car may already be somewhere else.
Call or message +61 435 162 311 rather than using the form. The fare does not change; it just needs a person to confirm it rather than a queue.
Give the flight number at booking and it is tracked. The pickup moves to the actual landing time, not the scheduled one, and the fare does not change. If the aircraft is early, the car is early.
2 hours on international arrivals at T1 and 1 hour on domestic arrivals at T2 and T3, both measured from when the aircraft actually lands rather than from when it was scheduled to.
