The arithmetic
Forty-two kilometres, itemised.
Castle Hill one way and return. Every Hills suburb prices the same way off the same formula.

The Hills fares sit noticeably under the formula — Castle Hill is $185 against a formula figure of $199.92 at 42 km, and Blacktown is $185 against $206.52. That gap is the corridor being priced as a corridor rather than as a meter reading, and the receipt shows it as a line rather than presenting the lower number as though the formula had produced it.

Departure timing
When the car has to be at your door.
Worked backwards from the flight, not forwards from a guess. Every row uses the same 50-minute drive time published at the top of this page.
| Flight departs | Terminal | Be at the airport | Pick-up |
|---|---|---|---|
| 06:00 domestic | T2 / T3 | 04:00 | 03:00 |
| 07:00 international | T1 | 04:00 | 03:00 |
| 08:00 domestic | T2 / T3 | 06:00 | 05:00 |
| 09:30 international | T1 | 06:30 | 05:10 |
| 13:00 domestic | T2 / T3 | 11:00 | 10:00 |
| 17:00 international | T1 | 14:00 | 13:00 |
| 21:00 domestic | T2 / T3 | 19:00 | 18:00 |
Worked from 50 minutes of driving, plus 10 minutes to load at the kerb, plus 3 hours inside the terminal for an international departure and 2 hours for a domestic one. A 20-minute allowance is added where the drive runs through the morning peak. Arriving instead of departing? Then none of this applies: give the flight number and the pickup moves to the actual landing time, with 2 hours free at T1 and 1 hour at T2 and T3.
The corridor
Three motorways and a toll you do not pay.
From the Hills the run is M2 east, then either the M7 and M5 or straight through the Lane Cove Tunnel and across the harbour, depending on the hour and on which end of the district you are in. Both are tolled the whole way, and every toll is inside the published fare.
Norwest and Bella Vista sit right on the M2, which makes them among the quickest forty-kilometre runs to the airport in Sydney outside peak. Rouse Hill and Kellyville add ten minutes at the top. Baulkham Hills and Castle Hill are in between and behave differently depending on whether the car goes via Windsor Road or Old Northern Road.
The peak here is severe and asymmetric. Eastbound on the M2 between 06:30 and 09:00 is the single worst stretch of any OSPIPO corridor, and the westbound return between 16:00 and 18:30 is not much better. A 07:00 pickup from Castle Hill is not the same trip as an 11:00 one.
None of that changes the fare. The drive time is our problem; the number was agreed when you booked.
M2 eastbound, 06:30 to 09:00
The worst peak on any route this business drives. The timing table adds twenty minutes and it is still tight — for an early international, take the earlier pickup.
Weekend mornings
Genuinely quick. Castle Hill to T1 on a Sunday at 07:00 is under fifty minutes and the fare is the same $185.
Roadworks on Windsor Road
A recurring feature of the northwest. The car takes Old Northern Road instead and the drive time is unchanged.
Metro Northwest running
If you are travelling alone with hand luggage, the metro plus the airport line is a real alternative and cheaper. It is also two changes with a suitcase.
Pick-up
Named kerbs across the district.
The Hills is mostly driveways, which makes pickups easy and street numbers essential.
Norwest Business Park
Any of the Century Circuit, Solent Circuit or Brookhollow Avenue addresses. Corporate pickups here are the most common booking in the district.
Castle Towers, Castle Hill
The Old Castle Hill Road set-down rather than the centre entrances, which are loading zones.
Bella Vista and Kellyville metro stations
For anyone connecting off the Metro Northwest. Commuter car parks have a clear set-down at both.
Rouse Hill Town Centre
The Civic Way side. Straightforward at any hour, including the 03:00 ones.
Residential addresses
Door to door across Baulkham Hills, Glenhaven, Beaumont Hills, Kellyville Ridge and West Pennant Hills. A driveway is easier than a kerb and the car uses it.

This route
About the Hills run.
Baulkham Hills $175, Castle Hill $185, Bella Vista $195, Norwest $195, Kellyville $210 and Rouse Hill $225, all both ways.
Glenhaven, Beaumont Hills, Dural, Kenthurst, Cherrybrook, West Pennant Hills and Annangrove are all driven regularly and quoted by the same formula the moment you ask — you get a fixed number immediately, not a promise to confirm later.
The car is at your door around 03:40 on the published timing, which allows for the M2 peak. That is early, and it is early because the M2 eastbound between 06:30 and 09:00 is the worst stretch on any route this business drives.
The table on this page does the sum for every common departure time using the same 50-minute drive published at the top.
No. The M2, the M7 and the Lane Cove Tunnel are all inside the published fare — $185 from Castle Hill, $175 from Baulkham Hills, $225 from Rouse Hill — as are GST, the airport access charge and the NSW Passenger Service Levy at $1.32. The figure you are quoted is the figure on your invoice, and nothing is collected until you arrive.
Far less money, yes — Metro North West to Chatswood, a change, then the airport line and the station access fee it charges on top. Travelling alone with a cabin bag, that is a sound answer. With checked luggage it becomes 2 changes and a set of stairs, and nothing runs early enough for a 05:00 international check-in, which is the gap the $185 Castle Hill fare fills.
Regularly — Norwest is $195 both ways and the most-booked pickup in the district, with Century Circuit, Solent Circuit and Brookhollow Avenue addresses routine. An executive assistant can book on someone else's behalf, 3 hours notice is the minimum the system takes, and a GST tax invoice carrying ABN 87 148 128 771 follows every completed trip. There is no account to open and nothing to pay at booking.
No question matches that. Try a shorter word, or ask the concierge.
